We’re excited to welcome Gael Núñez to Dfns as our first Strategic Account Manager. She’ll be working with our institutional clients to help them deploy, integrate, and scale secure blockchain operations. Gael will support clients across sales, finance, and operations, making sure every project gets off the ground smoothly and grows safely.
A career built on trust, precision, and partnerships
Gael brings a unique background that combines cybersecurity, tech partnerships, legal consulting, and diplomacy. She’s used to working in high-stakes environments, bridging different cultures, teams, and industries to get things done. Her strategic mindset and ability to build trust make her a strong partner for institutions adopting secure blockchain infrastructure.
Before joining Dfns, Gael was Director of Strategic Partnerships at DarkData, a cybersecurity firm specializing in advanced threat detection. She led their global alliances strategy, launched new services like 24/7 virtual SOC and threat hunting, and expanded the company’s footprint into new markets.
Prior to that, she was International Strategic Partnerships Manager at Fever, the platform behind immersive experiences like Candlelight Concerts. She managed cross-border partnerships, worked across legal and commercial teams, and helped streamline international integrations.
Earlier in her career, Gael worked at Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs via the Escuela Diplomática, handling legal and protocol matters in a fast-moving environment. She later joined Santalucía Seguros as a legal consultant, focusing on contracts, litigation, and audits.
Helping financial institutions build onchain with confidence
At Dfns, Gael joins our Strategic Accounts team to strengthen how we support financial institutions, fintechs, and enterprises adopting secure blockchain infrastructure. Her role spans the full client lifecycle, from onboarding and technical integration to day-to-day operations and long-term scaling. She’ll work closely with each client to turn complex objectives into practical outcomes, making sure every deployment is secure, compliant, and built for growth.
As blockchain adoption accelerates across traditional finance, Gael’s ability to bridge technical teams and business leaders will be key to delivering a smooth experience for our clients. Her background across cybersecurity, legal operations, and international partnerships allows her to anticipate client needs and remove roadblocks early whether they’re regulatory, operational, or cross-functional.
Fluent in French, English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, Gael brings greater linguistic fluency and cultural intelligence to Dfns. Her presence strengthens our ability to serve clients in both Europe and the United States, while also enabling us to grow deeper roots in Latin America, a region quickly emerging as a leader in digital asset innovation. With Gael on board, our Strategic Accounts team is better equipped than ever to help institutions go onchain with clarity and confidence.

Clarisse Hagège is the CEO and Cofounder of Dfns. She has an extensive background as a Board Member of the MPC Alliance, Mentor at Techstars Web3 Launchpad, and crypto startup Advisor at Station F. With BSc and MSc degrees in Finance, Economics and Political Science from Sorbonne University, Sciences Po, and Dauphine University, her career spans a decade in investment banking and corporate treasury in Paris and New York, including roles at Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, and Crédit Agricole CIB.
