Babylon Genesis Tier1 Support

We’re excited to announce that Babylon Genesis is now fully supported on the Dfns Wallet-as-a-Service platform as a Tier-1 blockchain. Developers and institutions can now create wallets, sign and send transactions, and access the full range of Dfns wallet features on Babylon Genesis securely and at scale. Babylon Genesis powers the leading Babylon Bitcoin staking protocol, enabling BTC holders to stake natively without bridges or intermediaries. This new integration is part of our broader support for staking, including our Figment integration.

What is Babylon Genesis and why it matters

Babylon Genesis is a Cosmos SDK-based blockchain that serves as the control plane for the Babylon Bitcoin Staking Protocol. This protocol enables native BTC staking, where users can stake Bitcoin without wrapping it or giving up custody. Staked BTC helps secure other blockchains, including L1s, rollups, and dApps, known collectively as Bitcoin Supercharged Networks (BSNs).

Babylon Genesis acts as the control plane for this system. It coordinates staking, slashing, rewards, and finality across Bitcoin, Cosmos, and other chains. It uses CometBFT for consensus, supports CosmWasm smart contracts, and is fully IBC-compatible.

One key innovation being introduced soon is multi-staking: a single BTC stake can help secure multiple networks at once. With over 43,000 BTC staked so far on the Babylon Bitcoin staking protocol, Babylon Genesis is becoming a key layer for multichain security and interoperability.

BTC staking and wallet support on Dfns

With Tier-1 support, Dfns wallets on Babylon Genesis include:

• Onchain history: All transactions are indexed and auditable
• Secure transaction signing: Use API or dashboard to sign and broadcast
• Webhooks: Get real-time alerts on transfers, balances, and events

In the coming weeks, this integration will also enhance our Bitcoin staking features with Figment by supporting staking operations, like validator delegation, reward tracking, and indexing, directly on Babylon Genesis.
