Welcome Roma

We’re thrilled to welcome Roma Sychevski as a Senior Software Engineer at Dfns. Roma brings deep expertise in frontend systems and user-facing platforms, and he will play a key role in shaping the next generation of our digital asset management tools. 

His mission is to help us deliver a Wix-like experience for blockchain finance where even the most complex infrastructure can be managed with simplicity, clarity, and precision. Roma will work across our dashboard, mobile app, and other interfaces, partnering closely with product, design, and engineering teams. From compliance officers configuring policies, to developers integrating wallets, to operations teams reviewing transaction logs, every client should be able to interact with Dfns with confidence and control, and Roma will help make that possible.

A career in building enterprise-grade user platforms

Roma’s career has been defined by connecting complex backend systems with simple, intuitive user experiences across finance, healthcare, and AI platforms.

He began at HERE Technologies (formerly OpenFin), whose software transformed how global financial institutions run applications. OpenFin introduced the idea of an “operating system for finance,” allowing banks, asset managers, and trading firms to launch secure, low-latency, interoperable desktop apps in a single environment. Over nearly eight years, Roma grew from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer, helping build products trusted by some of the world’s most demanding financial organizations where reliability, speed, and compliance were non-negotiable.

He then joined Thirty Madison, a digital health company reinventing care delivery, where he scaled applications and backend systems serving thousands of patients across the US. Later at Axion Ray, an AI-driven observability platform for global manufacturers, he worked on the core system with NestJS, React.js, and TypeScript, developing tools that processed and visualized complex data in real time.

Across every role, Roma has focused on making advanced systems practical and dependable for the people who use them. His early experience launching an e-commerce startup gave him a strong foundation in end-to-end product building and a bias toward shipping solutions that make a tangible impact.

Building the best admin experience for onchain finance

Dfns has always been API-first, giving developers the most secure and flexible way to integrate wallets and transaction services into their products. But our clients, like banks, PSPs, fintechs, and exchanges, also need simple interfaces for their everyday work. A compliance officer shouldn’t have to think in API calls. A risk manager should be able to set guardrails in a few clicks.

That’s where Roma comes in. On the dashboard team, his role is to turn Dfns’ backend power into intuitive workflows for admins and operators. His work will cover:

• Policy configuration lets institutions define and enforce transaction rules without technical overhead.
• Roles and permissions enable fine-grained access controls across large teams.
• Audit-ready reporting provides clear visibility into logs, signatures, and approvals with regulator-level precision.
• Transaction monitoring makes it effortless for operations teams to spot anomalies and take action.
• Self-service tools bring Wix-like simplicity to onboarding wallets, setting recovery flows, connecting services, and more.

This mix of usability and security is essential for enterprise adoption. Institutions can’t compromise on governance, compliance, or security, but they also can’t scale if these functions are buried in complex workflows. By applying the same rigor to user experience as we do to backend security, Roma will help Dfns close that gap and set a new standard for the industry.

As digital assets move from pilots to production systems securing billions in value, a safe and enterprise-ready interface is just as critical as cryptography or infrastructure. Roma’s background in building intuitive, resilient platforms for regulated industries makes him the ideal person to lead this evolution at Dfns.
