Welcome Federica

We’re thrilled to welcome Federica Giupponi to Dfns as our new Head of People. As our newest dedicated HR leader, Federica will shape the entire employee journey, from hiring and onboarding to engagement, career growth, and culture ensuring we maintain excellence, structure and cohesion as we scale.

A career in building the backbone for growth

Federica brings a rare mix of expertise in People, Operations, and Finance, built over a career spent scaling high-growth, international tech companies. She builds the operational engines that allow companies to grow sustainably.

Over the past three years, Federica has worked with some of Europe’s most dynamic startups and scale-ups as a freelance HR and Operations Manager. Her portfolio includes fintechs, SaaS, and tech ventures such as Käst, Piana, Payflows, elba, Claap, Crew, and Colette Club, all with distributed teams and ambitious growth targets.

In each role, she built the foundations for scale: defining hiring processes, managing payroll and benefits across regions, setting up compliance frameworks, and fostering cultures of accountability and trust. Her work combines rigor and empathy, essential qualities for fast-moving teams that still need structure and care. Before consulting, Federica worked in organizational excellence and performance management, giving her deep insight into what makes teams thrive in complex, fast-changing environments.

Scaling our culture and talent

At Dfns, Federica’s mission is to design and lead a world-class People function that supports our next phase of growth. She will oversee recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention, aligning people operations with company strategy.

Her focus includes attracting top talent in blockchain, cryptography, and engineering, the builders shaping the next financial era, while refining HR policies and ensuring compliance across multiple regions, without losing our startup agility.

Beyond operations, Federica will strengthen our culture: fostering collaboration across teams, nurturing our security-first mindset, and creating a workplace where people feel trusted, empowered, and connected to our mission. She will also introduce clear career frameworks to support growth, performance, and accountability, building an environment where excellence and well-being go hand in hand.

As we continue to expand globally, Federica’s leadership will ensure our growth happens with clarity, integrity, and consistency. We’re excited to have her on board and look forward to the impact she’ll bring to our people and culture.
