Dfns selected as early launch partner of Solana Developer Platform.
Dfns has been selected as an early launch partner of Solana Developer Platform (SDP), a new API-first infrastructure layer designed to help financial institutions and enterprises build and scale products on Solana.
Launched by the Solana Foundation, SDP aggregates best-in-class infrastructure providers, across wallets, nodes, compliance, and payment rails, into a single, unified interface. The goal is to remove the complexity of blockchain development and give institutions a direct, programmable path to production. From day one, Dfns is part of the wallet infrastructure layer powering this platform.
A new way to build financial products on Solana
SDP introduces a modular, API-driven approach to building on-chain financial systems. Instead of integrating multiple vendors independently, institutions can access a fully composed stack through a single interface.
At launch, SDP provides two live modules (issuance and payments) with trading capabilities coming later in 2026. Together, they enable use cases such as stablecoin issuance, tokenized assets, cross-border payments, and fiat-to-crypto flows.
This is already being used in production contexts. Early users include Mastercard for stablecoin settlement, Worldpay for merchant payments, and Western Union for cross-border transactions, clear signals that institutional adoption is accelerating.
The role of Dfns in Solana Developer Platform
Within SDP, Dfns provides the wallet and execution layer that underpins all on-chain operations. Every product built on the platform ultimately depends on secure key management and reliable transaction execution. Dfns ensures that transactions are not only signed securely, but also correctly broadcast, tracked, and finalized on-chain. This includes securing issuance flows, such as minting and treasury management, as well as handling payment execution across stablecoin and fiat-integrated rails.
SDP represents a shift toward fully composable financial infrastructure. By integrating wallets, compliance, node providers, and payment rails into a single API surface, it allows institutions to focus on building products rather than managing infrastructure.
Dfns sits at the center of this architecture, connecting these components through secure key management, policy enforcement, and transaction execution. The result is a platform where developers can design and deploy systems such as payment networks, treasury platforms, or tokenized asset products with significantly less operational overhead.
Moving from experimentation to production
Solana has established itself as a high-performance network for payments and financial applications. With SDP, it now provides a developer experience that meets institutional expectations: API-first, modular, deployable on-premises, and ready for production.
Dfns’ inclusion as an early launch partner reflects this transition. Institutions are no longer experimenting with blockchain. They are building real systems that require reliability, control, and scale. SDP brings the ecosystem together to support that shift. We’re proud to be part of the foundation powering it.
